Description

Several people stand and crouch on a dug bank of pale soil, with a metal bucket at the lower left beside a dark opening in the ground. A long wooden pole lies across the foreground, and a flat, scrubby landscape stretches to a calm sea under an open sky. Figures in headscarves and light skirts are at work, while one more person sits partly out of frame at the lower left.
