Neo-Cypriote limestone statue fragment with a rounded head, broken arm and rough, weathered surface — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C08757. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A weathered limestone statue fragment stands on a pale plinth, its rounded head and shoulders rising above a block-like body. A broken arm or limb projects from the front, leaving a dark hollow beneath it, and vertical grooves run down one side. Two other sculptures, a standing figure in a robe at left and a bust above, stand against the wall behind.
