Neo-Cypriote limestone statue of a seated figure in a chair, photographed in a museum gallery — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C08754. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A limestone statue of a seated figure in a high-backed chair stands on a plinth, seen from the side and slightly above. The figure wears a long garment with vertical pleats, its arms held close to the body, and the rounded top shows no clear face; the stone is pitted and weathered. Behind it in the gallery stand two other statues: a partly cut-off standing figure at the left and a bearded figure with a headdress in the centre.
