Mountain, hill and tree

Mountains and hills rising behind a dense band of trees, under a pale hazy sky. — Photograph: John Lindros, Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C08292. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A wide view over a range of rounded, partly bare hills and mountain ridges, receding into haze. In the foreground, a dense band of trees, some taller and more separate, covers the lower slope. Most of the frame is an empty, pale sky, with a lighter hazy band near the horizon.
