Description

Many people in light shirts, dark trousers and headscarves work across a rough excavated area strewn with cut stones and rubble. Some stoop and dig while others stand or carry baskets, and a few sit or move among the stones. Ploughed fields and bare hills stretch behind them under a hazy sky.

Description, scan 2
A group of about twenty people, mostly men in white shirts and dark trousers and women in headscarves and long dresses, work across a stony excavation area. Low stone walls and loose rubble lie in the foreground, some people bend to the ground, and a few carry baskets. Behind them ploughed fields run up to a ridge of hills and a mountain range under a pale sky.
