Limestone Proto-Cypriote

Description

A carved limestone head of a bearded figure, shown frontally on a black base. The figure wears a close-fitting cap with a knob on top, has large ears, deep-set eyes, a broad nose and a long beard with a scalloped lower edge. The pale surface is weathered, with broken areas at the back and neck, and a number is painted on the base.
