Terracotta Minor Plastic, V. 544

Front view of a small head with a broad band across the brow and a broken lower edge, mounted on a card — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06401a. Public domain (CC0).

Description

The head is shown frontally against a dark grey backdrop and mounted on a pale card. It has a rounded crown, a broad band or headdress across the forehead, side pieces down past the ears, and simple features: eyes, a short nose and a small mouth. The surface looks rough and worn, and the lower edge is broken off.
