Limestone Minor Plastic, sculpture (V.406)

Fragment of a limestone sculpture, Vouni, seen from the front against a grey backdrop — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06400. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A broken, irregular lump of pale limestone with a rough, pitted surface fills most of the frame. A deep vertical groove runs down the centre between two rounded masses, and one upper edge has a sharp broken projection. A small white number label sits at the lower left, and the piece is photographed on a plain grey backdrop.
