Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C06325b. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A limestone head shown in right-facing profile, with a broad band across the top of the head and a rounded ear visible at the side. The lower part and back of the piece are broken away, leaving a rough, dark break at the base. The head is photographed against a plain grey backdrop, and its surface texture and carved features stand out clearly.
