Description

A bearded head shown in three-quarter view against a plain grey backdrop. Knobbed curls form a band across the brow, a ridged mass of hair rises over the crown, and the beard is rendered as rows of overlapping scallop-like curls. The almond-shaped eyes are outlined, the ear on the viewer's left is chipped, and the neck and a small part of the shoulder are included.
