Pottery Black-on-Red II-IV, bowl (M.62.38)

Shallow bowl with a ring foot and ridged lower body, from Marion tombs 61–98 — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C05864. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A shallow bowl with a ring foot is photographed from the side on a pale surface. Fine concentric ridges cover the lower body down to the foot, and a dark band runs around the upper wall below the pale rim, with a hairline crack down the right side. Two small lugs project from the rim on either side, and a handwritten mark sits in the top left corner of the card.
