Pottery White Painted III-1 (S.3.8)

Bowl with a dark wavy painted band on a pale surface, White Painted III-1 pottery — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C05745a. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A rounded bowl with a wide open mouth, photographed in side view on a pale surface that casts a soft shadow. The pale body carries a broad dark painted band that wavers around the side below the rim, with a dark band also inside the rim. Thin crack lines run down the walls, and one area near the rim looks chipped.
