Hellenistic and Roman sculpture, C.M.

Description

Carved stone bust of a figure with large round eyes, a small mouth and a wreath or curled headdress over the hair. The shoulders show folded drapery, and the bust rests on a plain rectangular block. A rough, textured wall behind it throws a strong shadow across the left side of the figure. The print has a light border with handwriting partly visible along the bottom edge.
