Cypro-Hell.I jug fragment (K.T.8.3)

Pottery jug with a single handle and flared rim, from Kountoura Trachonia — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C05266a. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A pottery jug photographed upright against a plain pale background. It has a single loop handle running from the shoulder to the neck, a narrow neck with a flat, flared mouth, a rounded body and a low ring foot. The smooth grey-buff surface shows faint scratches and a horizontal incised line near the base, and the vessel appears complete rather than broken.
