Glyptic (A.I.2229)

Dark stone object, possibly a seal or gem, with horizontal ridges and a crack, photographed on a mounted card — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04413aaaa. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A photograph mounted on a card shows a dark, rounded stone object against a pale background. Its surface has horizontal ridges and grooves, a diagonal crack across the upper part, and a chipped, lighter edge on the right. A handwritten number label sits above the mount, and the object's form is hard to read from this single view.
