Glyptic (A.I.2209)

Oval engraved seal from Ayia Irini, photographed on a pale card mount — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04347d. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A dark oval seal with an engraved design of incised lines and signs fills most of the frame. It is photographed on a pale card with handwritten notes, a number and a letter, written along the bottom edge. The image is soft and low in contrast, so the carved lines are hard to make out in detail.
