Glyptic (A.I.2351)

Oval seal or gem with an engraved design, from Ayia Irini, shown on a card with handwritten numbers. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04347c. Public domain (CC0).

Description

An oval seal or gem with a dark, pitted surface fills most of the pale frame. Curved and straight engraved lines run across its face, but the design is hard to read at this resolution. Handwritten number labels in ink sit on the card below the photograph.
