Glyptic (A.I.2209)

Small dark stone object with pale streaked surface and broken edges, from Ayia Irini — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04346d. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A small, rounded object with a dark upper part and a pale, streaked surface, its lower and right edges broken and flaking. It fills most of a white print mounted on a card with a grey border around it. The image is grainy and high in contrast, so surface detail and any carved design are hard to make out.
