Glyptic, scarab (A.I.2131)

Blurred photograph of a small dark elongated object, possibly a scarab, on a mounted print — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04345. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A small elongated object with a dark rounded body and a paler, mottled surface fills the centre of the photograph. Its outline is soft and its surface detail is hard to make out, though a rounded end shows at the right and a few faint marks run along the lower edge. The print sits on a light card mount with a pale border around it.
