Glyptic (A.I.2270)

Blurred photograph of a small stone object, possibly a scarab, from Ayia Irini — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C04079h. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A small object with a rounded, dark upper part and a paler, mottled lower part lies flat on a light card. The edges are soft and the surface detail is hard to make out, so any engraved design cannot be read. Dark patches run across the lower half, and a narrow strip of the card border shows along the bottom.
