- Description, scan 2
- An open ring of corroded metal, thick and rough-surfaced with dark encrusted patches, with a clear gap near the bottom. A small black square number label is placed in the centre of the ring against a pale background.
- Description, scan 3
- A heavily corroded ring of metal, round in section, with a rough, pitted surface and a gap at the lower edge where the two ends almost meet. A small black label with a white number is placed on the pale ground inside the ring. The photograph is pasted onto a light card with a trimmed corner and a visible edge.
- Description, scan 4
- A roughly oval object with a rough, crusted surface of hollows, lumps and pits, shown face-on against a pale card. A small dark square label bearing a handwritten number sits below it. No tools, rings or other objects are visible beside it.
- Description, scan 5
- A single heavily corroded ring, dark and pitted on its surface, with a rough, uneven edge, is shown face-on against a pale card. A small black number label sits below it. The ring is the only object in the frame, and its form is clear even though the surface is worn.
- Description, scan 6
- A thick, circular ring with a rough, pitted and dark corroded surface, shown face-on against a pale background. A small square number label with a loop at its top sits below the ring. The ring has an even width all round, with its surface encrusted and uneven in places.
- Description, scan 7
- A single thick ring with a rough, pitted, dark surface, its outer edge uneven and its inner edge comparatively smooth. It is shown face-on and fills most of a light grey print mounted on a cream card. The surface looks heavily corroded, so the metal cannot be confirmed from the photograph.
- Description, scan 8
- Eight corroded metal objects are laid out in two rows on a pale background, each beside a small black number label. The top row has four rings of differing size and a pitted, disc-shaped lump. The bottom row has three rings: two large ones, one with a gap at the bottom, and a smaller ring between them.
- Description, scan 9
- Eight metal objects are arranged in two rows on a pale backdrop: seven rings of varying size, some open at one side, and one rounded, pitted disc-shaped object in the upper right. Each object has a small black number label placed beside it. The surfaces are encrusted and corroded, and no scale is shown.
