Terracotta Proto-Cypriote I

Description

Close view of a terracotta bust of a bearded male figure, turned toward the viewer's left against a plain backdrop. A close-fitting cap has a band of impressed beading along its lower edge, and the beard and cheeks are covered in rows of small impressed marks. The almond-shaped eyes and small mouth are smooth, and fine cracks run across the shoulders and chest.
