Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C03304. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A close view of a terracotta statue's head and upper body, showing a tall pointed conical headdress, almond-shaped eyes and a beard edged with a row of dotted impressions. The raised right hand has its palm turned outward, and a draped garment with a band across the chest covers the shoulders. The plain light backdrop is empty, and the frame cuts off the lower body.
