Limestone statue of a standing figure, seen in side view, with arms folded across the chest. — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C02927. Public domain (CC0).

Description

The photograph shows a tall, narrow limestone statue of a standing figure in side profile against a plain pale background. The squared head has a cap-like top, and the arms are folded across the chest above a long, straight body that narrows towards a flat base. The stone surface is weathered and pitted, and faint lines across the body show where separate pieces have been joined.
