Limestone Neo-Cypriote (K. 166)

Description

The limestone head is seen in profile, with a tall tapering headdress, a carved ear, a straight nose and a lowered eyelid. Its irregular base rests on two small wooden blocks, with a pale cord wrapped around the join. The surface looks weathered and pitted, with small chips along the headdress, and the head stands against a plain pale background on a card mount.
