Pottery Red Polished II Bowl (L.302A.19)

Pottery Red Polished II bowl from Lapithos with incised chevron bands and a small pierced lug — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C02711a. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A deep, rounded bowl seen from the side on a pale surface. Its dark body is covered with fine incised lines: a band of slanting herringbone strokes runs below the rim, and a larger chevron pattern covers the lower body. A small perforated lug projects at the right rim, and the surface shows some wear and light marks.
