Built tomb with vault and tomb chamber

Interior of a built tomb with a stone vault and a low arched doorway in the wall — Photograph: John Lindros, Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C02607. Public domain (CC0).

Description

The view looks into a vaulted chamber whose curved roof is made of cut stone blocks laid in courses. A low arched opening with a pale rim sits in the lower left wall and leads into darkness. Light from the right throws a hazy glow across the floor and walls, which are built of rectangular stone blocks in horizontal courses.
