Description
The rhyton is a vessel shaped as an animal head with a broad, rounded muzzle, a large eye set in a raised rim, and a flat, horn-like ear or horn running back along the top. The body tapers into a cylindrical neck at the right, cut off by the edge of the picture. The surface is pitted, cracked and partly lost, and the object lies against a plain light background.
