Description

A deep excavation cutting shows a vertical face of dark, layered soil with scattered stones, and a rectangular pit or cutting in the foreground. A heap of excavated earth rises behind, with a row of stones set into its slope and a few trees and a field visible at the top of the view. Loose stones lie on the excavated surface in the lower left.
