Description, scan 2
A close view of rough-hewn stone blocks and wall courses set into excavated soil, stepping up diagonally across the frame. Dark voids and a recess sit between the blocks, and their bright, weathered faces contrast with the dark earth at the trench sides. Further masonry and cut edges of the trench appear at the top right.
