Stone walling in an excavation trench at Kition. On the left, a rubble-built pillar of rounded stones rises from dark soil, while on the right a large smooth stone block forms a corner above a narrow dark opening edged with a row of stones. Layered earth sections form the upper sides of the trench, and a flat slab lies at the bottom left.
