Description

A vertical face of dark, stony earth fills most of the frame, with small pale fragments scattered across it. Along the bottom, a flatter darker surface runs away from the face, and a pale block sits at the lower left corner. The layers are hard to separate in this view, but the face shows packed soil with small stones.

Description, scan 2
A close view of a vertical face of excavated earth, rough and pitted, with pale flecks of stone and small chalky fragments scattered across it. Thin dark streaks run down the surface, and its lower edge meets a flat, lighter floor surface. A pale block of stone sits at the lower left corner, with a step or ledge visible at the far left.
