Description

A man crouches on bare, stony ground at the left, working with a tool near a small stone, while a second man in a pale shirt and sun helmet stands at the right with his hands on his hips. A long wooden plank lies diagonally in the foreground, and a rope or pole stands at the left edge. Low, scrubby hills and a few small trees fill the background under a pale sky.
