Description

A rugged area of pale limestone outcrops and loose rubble fills the frame, with a flat-topped rock ledge in the centre and dark soil cut away beneath it. On the left, a sheet of water lies behind the rocks, and a thin upright pole stands at its edge. Small stones are scattered across the slopes, and a low wall-like line of stones is visible at the upper right.
