Description

A group of about twenty people gathers around a shallow excavated trench on a dry, open hillside. Several men in hats kneel and crouch at the trench edge, some digging, while women in headscarves and men in hats stand and watch. Bags or sacks sit on the left and a long tool lies across the ground in the foreground; low hills and a single tree stand in the distance.
