Bronze Sculpture, relief

Corroded bronze sculpture of two animals in one group, one rising above the other, with curled tails — Photograph: Swedish Cyprus Expedition, 1927–31. Medelhavsmuseet, Stockholm, C00512. Public domain (CC0).

Description

A corroded metal object lies on a pale background, photographed from the side. Two animal figures are joined in one group: the one on the left has its head low and a thin curled tail, while the one on the right stands higher, with its own tail curling up at the far end. The surface is pitted and encrusted, with lighter patches where the metal shows through.
