English, translated from the French record

Ivory pyxis, complete but refitted; H. 2; ø 2.6; ø base 1.7; ø lid 1.7; wall thickness 0.6 x 0.35. The body is similar to that of Sal_2714a, but the wall is flat at the base and at the upper part. The base, inserted 2 mm back inside the body, is a disc with a slightly concave surface, decorated with two circles incised on the turning lathe, with a clearly marked centre. The lid, also inserted, has a flat base and a convex top decorated with circular mouldings arranged around a small central spherical cap, onto which a knob was probably to be fitted. The inner wall of the body is cut at the top and bottom, forming two right-angled steps that allow the inserted elements to fit well. Inventory SAL_DES_139635_D_0010; 1966.
