Object card SAL_4943, from the area south of the rampart in Salamis, Cyprus, square K VI/δ4. Classical period. Terracotta figurine of a goddess (the great goddess in her various aspects) with a standing woman holding a fold of drapery or a piece of cloth; a fragment of the lower right edge, with hand and wrist, missing the back. Buff, rusted clay, glued together, with traces of green paint in the hollows of the folds; moulded hollow. H. 16.5 cm; l. 11.5 cm. She pinches a curved fold of cloth between thumb and index finger over her thigh; the knee was slightly advanced. A belt of somewhat twisted cloth roll appears on the left, and a bracelet is on the wrist. Inventory Tc_1854; 1 September 1969. Slide C_4978; negative 01138_03; notebook page 47.
