Head of the Great Goddess with a calathos, Classical period, from the area south of the rampart, square K VI/δ4; inventory Tc_1647; slide C_4432; negative 00772_03. Mould-made hollow terracotta, red fabric with white-grey slip, height 8 cm; the nose is broken off, the surface heavily worn, and the round face has effaced features with traces of the brow ridges, deep-set eyes, mouth and nose. The hair is in a roll, the calathos has a rim of rolled lower edge and a row of pellet decoration, and the head is incomplete, lacking the top and the whole back. 1 October 1968.
