While earth being removed from clearing of dromos fill, consider Tomb 9.

See phot. 18.9, 10 p. 139#13 Rhodian)/About 2/3 of it (SE part) is clear; beyond that is the sample of surface as I found it, ca. .30 wide and beyond that parts of 2 crania cleared have been covered with baskets to protect from earth which has trickled into this end of the tomb from clearing of dromos and fill above. Further there is along the NE side a high sample, the new part of cuct this year being at full ht to walls of cave. In and against this latter are large fragments of an amphora (?) of plain rather reddish ware. I seem to recall that other frags. were removed last year, perhaps from further out over the floor of the tomb at that level. (about that of our cross sample, to a little higher. They lie in crumbled pebble rock and lumps of chavara. Same sort of thing covers bones in cross sample (mostly chavara) but further SE in center of cleared part there was a red sandy fill over the bones.

Visible are a great many bones
