Sherds, cont. fr. p. 114: Fill deposited or contaminated in 2nd AD? rim (frg.) of casserole like P 1586 (and piece middle of bottom, which looks more like this sort of and base of a flat-bottomed saucer of greyish ware object than a closed pot). May have been just at top. Otherwise, sherds that might be 2nd BC: frg. "Pergamene" ware, part of SH 1060 (cp. p. 132) Rhodian handle, and other \frg. of [illegible]p. a coarse fireproof- unguentarium \with no much swell, and part of a strapless unguentarium/, incuring bowls like HAT (2 cent. 128 (30/v/41) The softer earth in the "martyra" inside Wall A dug down, not very clearly distinguished at top (owing I believe to Christo's desire to knock down more earth and keep more people busy). But it is now clearly the cp p. 136 loose stuff heretofore visible above and behind the stone door of Tomb 9, evidently its dromos fill, which then was covered by the stratum of the stratum ("floor") but by nothing under. Wall A rests on part of this distinguishable fill. Photograph (vertical plates in which shall be visible door stone of both Tomb 9 & original one of Tomb 1, also Wall A, and its stony in scarps)/ floor, which ends curiously in the NE scarp of Tr. 43 (over Tomb 9).
As this stony dromos fill is now down to level to which Tr. 43/75 dug, leave it and work at clearing Wall A on its N \Shine Lot boxed{9}/ side. First clear stones to its bottom in one corner, when visible, and remains of corner of floor left adjacent to it, and photograph. The stony stratum extends into Tr. 75 where it ends on top of Wall B as visible there. Then remove this sample of stony stratum earth.
