[red: L 373beneath. One or 2 sherds from this clearing may have got into those from dromos fill. [9] just above Wall C, .26 above its top, (according to impression of not very ] bright digger) sat a Roman lamp against the stones of Wall A. (Came away with the earth, losing its nozzle.) Photographed [red: 17.28] where it is supposed to have been found, immediately after finding and clearing wall beneath so that position would show. The bottom of Wall A rests on Wall C, and the E of it goes a little lower. This must be on rock, because E of Wall C is still Wall C - i.e. it continues down. Thus the corner of stroma left besideE end of wallA makes a martyr of the side of the dromos fill. Cut the one now that goes all the way back to Wall C, beginning however some .50 below top of Wall C.
On further consideration cut off a whole corner of fill about on outer line of first dromos of Tomb 6, to Wall C. Would have been better to do this at top level of Wall C.
