22/v 41 Small NE tomb Digging in this all day, uncovered charnel house of bones heaped together along SE side, together with a couple of pots, and extending toward NW 2 skeletons (legs, only, now appearing). Bones under these, and one frag. of bone clearly over the more easterly. The earth over these largely dark reddish, open (sandy?) but Christo points out mingling of pieces of chavara. Some small pebbles in it, but apparently not fall from (torrus-fill) roof. Sample against NE side continues original sample, to full ht toward SE. Another sample marked to cross tomb at right angles to the first; would have been better if it had been under protected part instead of in floor cleared last year.
