The pit in 13b is sunk from 7.97. It goes to wall III and runs under wall I. Since this part of wall I is disturbed it is not possible to say whether the pit cut wall I or whether it is earlier. General considerations indicate the latter view. Digging in the pit we find a floor faced with sherds at 8.23. This clearly runs under wall I. A pithos is sunk into this sherd-paved floor, its mouth flush with the floor. It is filled with greenish grey clay.

Digging between walls I and V we find that the Baugrab of V partly cuts and partly stops at a white clayey floor at 7.97/7.83. This runs to a new wall (VII) belonging to the earlier complex. Wall VII runs under wall I and joins V. It is set with the same dark red konnos as wall II.
