Find a mixed burnt layer at 6.88, comparable to that in 21:18. A pot appears in the door to 21:18, another in the side of the well in the south. Dig below 688, through burnt tumble, finding a regular burnt level at 7.03. Stones go below it, so it is probably not a floor.

3.5.39 Digging below 7.03 we find a floor of chavara plaster, burnt, at 7.17 (S.). Much pottery is found on it. Rooms 21:21 and 21:12 of the plan, p. 102 are all one. The big pit in the center is said to have contained the large pithos found by Markides and now in the Cyprus Museum. Roots have callsed considerable damage, but it is clear that there are two superimposed chavara floors. We have found parts of both. Photos Bam 39.89-92 before removing pots

23.5.39| (finds: see p. 150) Remove the carob tree in the N. and remove the first chavara plaster floor. There are four successive plaster floors, at 7.17, 7.25, 7.30, and 7.42 (S.) The 7.17 floor goes to the S. wall, but the 7.25 floor has a broad cutting by the wall, filled with sandy red-brown earth. (CbFD VIII, p. 57)
