17-4-39Tomb 19 (from p. 87)

Remove the masonry, revealing the original L.C. II shape of the tomb, before its L.C. III remodelling. The entrance was in the S-W. The layer of foreign earth found below 1.35 continues below 1.45 in most places, and comes directly upon masses of bones, at 1.80. Only by the door does soft earth reach as high as 1.45. It contains nothing in-situ and seems to have silted in.

This level is much higher in the south (to 1.30,) where skeletal remains lie among stones. Skulls XLVII - LI belong to this level.
