14-4-39 The 1.35 burial is placed on a carefully laid pack of stones, to which the big stone in the S, just before the big erect slab, belongs. Remove the stones. They rest on and in a layer of gritty red earth, entirely without bones, and to judge from the pithos sherds in it, brought from the settlement. This ends at 1.45 on softer sandy grey earth.

This stops at the same level as the big slab, i.e. just over the main stone fill ( ). Photo Bam.39.64 of the masonry found behind the big slab. Dig behind this (to p. 97)
