28-5-38 and 30-5-38
Digging through the stones at 8.63 we find rock in the north at 8.75, sloping up to the large stone. In the central and southern end we find brown earth at 9.17 In the extreme south we find a rock pack as elsewhere (tr. 12, etc.) sloping down onto the 9.17 level. Also in the north there was a packed stoney layer, cut through by mistake!, sloping up to the base of the big stone.
