27.4.37 TRENCH 2 from p. 117 on this floor. The 11.02 level must have been an occupation level, a secondary raising of the 11.08 [strikethrough: 11.04 =] 11.08 11.12 floor. [strikethrough: The part which slopes]

Strikethrough: up on the W. wall is practically pure lime.

Unit 17: Digging below 10.86, through the same loose stoney fill, we find another level of tumble at 10.89 = 10.95. This is not an occupation level, so we dig through it. (see p. 114) Photos Bam 95 of unit 17 at 10.89 = 10.95

28.4.37 Unit 24: Digging below 9.16 = 9.51 we find a well packed layer of brown earth with lime, at 9.26 = 9.65. This is the level on which the post and the place from which another post was removed, in unit 16, stand. A large flat square stone in the NW corner, a number of bricks, and a row of sts rest on this level.

Units 16 + 20 (North ext.): Dig below the (9.52) = 10.32 level, through hard brown earth with much vegetable matter to a level at 9.72 (at S.E end of tr 20) = 10.62, of hard packed earth with lime (to p. 120)
