Unit 21: Dig below the 10.65=10.69 level, through loose yellowish brown earth to a firm yellow-brown earth floor, with grit and sand, at 10.75 10.81

Unit 22: Dig below 10.78=10.87, through yellowish brown fill with great numbers of good sized stones. The earth becomes slightly firmer at 10.95, but the many stones go on down. Photo Bam 91 of unit 22 at 10.95 (27.4.37) p. 112

27.4.37UNIT 24 N-W section (N of unit 3, W of 16): Dig below 9.16=9.51

Unit 19: Clear to the 10.69=10.90 floor, leaving the fallen bricks in situ. Photo [illegible] of unit 19 with bricks in situ. The S. part of the wall to unit 8 lies in part on brick, at 10.50=10.63 this level. It appears that this is the same tumble as that in unit 8, and not an actual brick construction. Remove the bricks and clear to the floor. The floor is hard packed earth with a great deal of lime, and very ashy, though no fireplace is isolated. It is quite uneven. The brick seems to be limited to the west end. (to p. 117) … continues
